  1. The difference between an atom and a molecule is the fact that atoms make up molecules. A molecule is two or more atoms combined to form a new substance, while a atom is just one small particle of an element.

  2. An atom is the most basic form of matter, while molecules are made up of more than one atom.

  3. A molecule is made of atoms, and atoms are basic elements.!

  4. An molecule is made up of different kinds of atoms formed together by chemical bonds and an atom is the basic form of matter.

  5. The differance between a molecule and an atom is that a molecule is a group of atoms that have been chemicaly bonded They don't all have to be atoms from the same element however.

  6. The difference between molcule and atoms are atoms make up molecules. Molecules are a group of different atoms that are chemically bonded to make a molecule.

  7. An atom is the basic building block of matter. A molecule is made up of two or more atoms.

  8. The difference between an atom and a molecule is that a molecule is made up of two or more atoms chemically bonded to form a substance. Therefore, an atom, the smallest basic unit of matter, does not compare to the molecule.

  9. The difference between an atom and a molecule is that an atom is the smallest basic unit of matter, and a moldecule consists of two or more atoms chemically bonded to form a solution. However, these molecules do NOT have to be formed with the same atoms. Atoms make up molceules. For example the atom H(Hydrogen) is an atom, while the element H2(Hydrogen 2) is a molcule. Also, an atom has one nucleus while molecules can have many.

  10. The difference between a molecule and an atom is that an atom makes up a molecule. A molecule is two or more atoms which are held together by covalent bonds. An atom is the smallest particle of an element that has the chemical properties of that element. An atom is broken down into protons, electrons, and neutrons, where a molecule is broken down into just atoms.

  11. The difference between a molecule and an atom is that a molecule is made out of atoms. To make a molecule there must be more then one atom which would be 2+. Common molecules that people know are water, salt and etc. The two atoms that are forming the molecule don't have to be the same. While an atom is just 1. Atoms could also be elements, such as gold, hydrogen and many more. Atoms are also the basic unit of matter, while molecules aren't.

  12. There are many differences between atoms and molecules. For the most part atoms are the smallest form of matter that make up elements. Elements are made up of only 1 atom and that atom has the properties of the element it creates. An example of an element is hydrogen (H), hydrogen is made up of atoms that have the exact same pproperties as hydrogen. Molecules however, are created by different elements that are bonded together by covalent bonds that allow them to move as a single unit. An example of a molecule is 1 carbon atom bonded together with 2 oxygen atoms. This creates CO2 or carbon dioxide a molecule that moves together as a single unit. All in all, an atom is the smallest part of matter that makes up elements, and molecules are different types of atoms chemilcally bonded together by covalent bonds that allow them to move as 1 single unit.

  16. The difference between a molecule and an atom is that a molecule holds together the atoms by chemical bonds, where as an atom is alone and is the smallest unit of matter.

  18. The difference between a molecule and an atom is that a molecule is two or more atoms, bonded by a chemical bond. Molecules can be made with the same type of atom or different types of atoms. While atoms are just one. They are also known was elements such as gold, hydrogen, and more. Atoms are also the smallest unit of matter.

  19. The difference between a molecule and an atom is that an atom consists of one element, and a molecule consists of multiple atoms. An atom is the smallest basic unit of matter, and two or more atoms combine as "covalent bonds", which is the same as saying that the chemical bonds hold them together. They are bonded together as one whole. For example, H2O (water) is a molecule. It has two hydrogen atoms, and one oxygen atom, which forms water as one whole molecule. (:

  22. An atom and a molecule are not the same thing. The difference is that an atom is the smallest particle of an element. Molecule is more than one atom chemically bonded together so they move as a single unit.
